What’s in a name?

A small group of Bach Choir members have been meeting with a view to putting on a concert, to perform a new work by local composer Colin Wolfe, (incidentally a stalwart of the bass section).  Other possible items are being proposed, including Vivaldi, some favourite madrigals and a selection of John Dowland songs  to be sung by talented baritone Stephen Cooper.

The biggest problem is we don’t have a name yet!  Various suggestions have been made, some more facetious than others, but nothing settled.  My current favourite is the ‘Wolfe gang’, but we aren’t offering any Mozart, and Colin is keen that this isn’t just his show.  A date has been set, at Chilwell Road Methodist Church, Beeston, so we’ll just have to hope that ‘the friends of Colin Wolfe’, as we are currently listed,  have a catchier title by November!
